Thanks to the holistic and multiplatform approach RTV Teuta from Ulcinj, marks constant audience increase on their digital platforms. “All statistical data shows significant increase in the visibility, viewership, and audience engagement on all digital channels,” the executive director of TV Teuta, Ilmira Lika, said.

Data shows that in the past six months, since the start of the project, they have had 1500 new subscribers on the YouTube channel. Thanks to this, for the first time they receive revenue from the videos on YouTube. Facebook data shows increased number of followers for 50%, whilst the page reach increased for staggering 184%. The reach of TV Teuta page on Instagram increased for an unbelievable 418%.

“Before the implementation of the project we didn’t have a clear and strategic vision regarding our social media channels. Thanks to the close cooperation with the project experts, we managed to boost our visibility and attract a larger audience,” Lika said.

These achievements are the result of several factors. The crucial one is the tailor-made support in business planning and multiplatform journalism. Thanks to this, TV Teuta nowadays focuses on live streaming and constant enrichment of the website and social media channels with quality content on a daily basis. They also pay special attention to the diaspora by producing documentaries that focus on their needs.

“Our idea is to form a modern bilingual web portal. An integral part of the web portal would be an app through which our viewers and listeners could follow our TV and radio program online, whether they are in Montenegro or anywhere else in the world (people from Montenegro who live abroad, those who are traveling, and everyone else who is interested),” Lika said.

This new website and app, together with the strategic approach in multiplatform journalism, should further increase the positive trend. RTV Teuta was established in 2003 and is the first bilingual outlet in Montenegro airing its program on Albanian and Montenegrin.
